Welcome to the online home of LDS Joinery. With a workshop in Dorking and showroom in Cheam, we cover the Surrey and South West London regions, specialising in the hand-manufacture of fittings and fixtures, including front doors, timber windows and plantation shutters. Popular amongst domestic and commercial clients in many nearby areas – not least Epsom, Esher, Sutton, Wandsworth and Wimbledon – we’re here to help you add value to your property and improve everyday functionality and curb appeal.
A family-run business, we handle all aspects of our work in-house. By avoiding the use of sub-contractors, we can guarantee that every aspect of our work will be completed to the highest quality standards. Additionally, by remaining fiercely independent, our highly experienced founder and fully-qualified joiner Luke can continue to work on jobs at our Dorking workshop. Our approach makes for satisfied customers, whose testimonials you can read over on our Reviews page. LDS Joinery is also a member of Checkatrade. We’re thrilled to say we have an average 10.0/10.0 score rating over a grand total of 197 reviews; we can confidently say that there isn’t many a joinery company that can boast such an immaculate record.
Registered members of FENSA with GGFI-backed insurance coverage in place, we’ve been in operation since 2011, when our Cheam, Sutton showroom first opened its doors. If you wish to see sample products first hand, we welcome you to pay us a visit. Staff will be able to explain our process and help translate your ideas, working with any collateral / inspiration you might have collected.
All products are made in-house by our business founder and owner, Luke. This ensures you’ll always receive an exceptionally crafted, bespoke product that will add value to your property. There are a number of reasons it pays to invest in high quality doors and windows. Firstly, there’s the aesthetic angle. Quality doors and windows which match your property’s period, colour and style can drastically improve a property, creating a coherent identity. Then there’s the strength and durability of outward facing fixtures, which serve as a line of defence between your property and would-be intruders and thieves in the Epsom, Esher, Dorking, Sutton, Wandsworth or Wimbledon areas; poorly constructed or shoddily installed doors are a massive invitation to burglars. Again on the security side of things, both front doors and interior doors need to be reliable, should an emergency situation arise such as a fire.
And now, more importantly than ever in an age where environmental consciousness is at its peak, there’s the fact that quality windows and doors can reduce energy consumption by better-regulating internal temperature – trapping in heat and subsequently reducing energy bills. So investing in hand-crafted, high quality front doors, conservation windows, internal doors, timber windows or plantation shutters can represent great value for money in the long-term, considering both savings on heating and their strength and lifespan.
